Embark Studios has clarified the damage goals and extended the deadline after player complaints.

ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios has extended the third Expedition window and clarified the damage requirements for bonus skill points after player backlash over the original timing and unclear objectives. The update gives players more breathing room and makes the system easier to understand during the Riven Tides content period. The U4GM official site is frequently highlighted in community discussions as a secure third-party option for players who want to save time.

The third Expedition window now runs from April 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST to May 11, 2026, at 8:00 AM CST. That gives players a 13-day period to register and complete the challenge, which is a major change from the original five-day window. The longer schedule should make it easier for more players to participate without feeling rushed.

Players can still choose a no-challenge reset, but doing so means giving up the five bonus skill points. That option gives more flexibility, although it also makes the reward trade-off very clear.

Embark has also spelled out the exact damage requirements for bonus skill points. Players will earn 1 point at 5,000 ARC damage, 2 points at 10,000, 3 points at 30,000, 4 points at 50,000, and all 5 points at 100,000. According to Embark, 100,000 damage is roughly equal to destroying about 20 Bastions, while a strong session can produce around 8,000 to 10,000 damage.

Catch-up rewards for earlier Expeditions are still tied to stash value, with each point requiring 300,000. That keeps the older system in place for players who missed earlier windows, even though the new Expedition challenge now focuses on active damage instead of hoarding value.

The change comes after criticism that the original system was too restrictive and too vague. Many players liked the idea of replacing stash grinding with a more active challenge, but the short window and unclear goals made the system feel frustrating. By extending the deadline and explaining the targets, Embark is trying to make the Expedition feel fairer and easier to plan around.

Reactions from the community have been mostly positive, especially among experienced players who wanted more clarity. Some long-time Raiders have praised the update while still asking for continued balance tuning. The broader goal seems clear: make Expeditions reward active play, but do it in a way that feels manageable instead of punishing.

With the extended window and precise damage targets now in place, ARC Raiders’ Expedition system looks much easier to approach. The update gives players more time, clearer goals, and a better sense of what they need to do to earn the full reward.
