PoE 3.27 changes how you sell items. The new system uses Merchant Tabs so you can list items that others can buy even when you are offline. This removes a lot of the old back-and-forth and keeps your shop open all the time. The system moves trading from a live chore to a steady income stream if you plan and use it right PoE 1 Currency.
How to get your first Merchant Tab and Faustus’ role
You unlock the feature once you reach Act 6. Talk to Faustus in Lioneye’s Watch and he will act as the steward for Merchant Tabs in your hideout. After you meet him, you can put items into those special tabs and let Faustus manage sales.
Converting or buying tabs, and what to look for
You can get Merchant Tabs in a few ways. Longtime players may convert older Premium Stash Tabs into Merchant Tabs through the account management tool. New tabs are also available for purchase from the points store. Check your account options to see which tabs are eligible to convert and which ones you must buy. This lets you reuse stash space you already paid for or expand your storefront with new tabs if you prefer.
Listing items and how asynchronous trade works in practice
Listing is simple. Put the item into a Merchant Tab, set the price, and confirm the listing. Once listed, the item is active in the market and can be bought by other players at any time. You do not need to be online for the sale to happen. The system indexes these items so buyers can find them through the new market interface. When a sale completes, the currency is held for you and you can withdraw it through the in-game earnings or account tool. This means you can focus on playing while your shop runs in the background.
Why the new market helps everyone, and what to watch out for
Asynchronous trading lowers the time cost of selling. Sellers do not need to chase buyers, and buyers do not have to wait for a reply. This makes trading fairer for players with less time. Still, listing items requires good pricing and some attention. Items that are too expensive will sit, and items priced too low will sell fast but might leave money on the table. Also, expect cooldowns and delist rules that prevent rapid price flipping. Learn the limits so you do not get locked out when you need to change a price.
Check community tools and market trackers to set smart prices and update listings as values shift. If you aim to farm consistent returns, list common items that players always need so your merchant keeps selling while you play. Remember that currency trading still works through the in-game exchange and other systems, but showing regular stock of basic crafting materials and u4gm PoE 1 Currency related items helps your merchant attract repeat buyers.
