Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed a significant expansion on a key section of Sheikh Zayed Road, the city’s busiest and most vital highway. The project involved adding a seventh lane along a crucial 700-metre stretch between Al Safa and Umm Al Sheif, a known congestion hotspot especially during evening peak hours for vehicles coming from Abu Dhabi.
