There are mainly three types of cattle farming methods practised in the world: intensive, semi-intensive, and extensive, among others.

 

Intensive cattle farming

Concentrated and intensive are also names of Intensive cattle farming. They grow a large number of livestock for sale, as well as feed and supplements. This method is practised in urban areas, where it often occurs in small areas with the aim of high dairy and meat production, mainly in foreign countries.

 

Semi-intensive cattle farming

Semi-intensive cattle farming is the most common type of cattle farming. It combines elements of both intensive and extensive farming. This practice involves keeping cattle in an enclosure while also allowing grazing within the enclosed area, but also includes controlled and natural feeding.

 

Extensive cattle farming

When the stocking density of livestock practice in a large area, but in a minimum amount, is known as Extensive cattle farming. This type of method is mainly practised in rural areas with low human intervention for feeding.
