A $70 million sci-fi movie has reportedly chosen a famous artificially intelligent sex doll for its lead role. The news comes as a further shock to movie and TV actors whose work has been affected by the epidemic over the past year. They are even more worried about their careers. More “c

ERIKA, an AI lovedoll developed by a Japanese development team, will be the female lead in the latest movie produced by LIFE Productions, a high-tech company involved in entertainment, marketing and advertising that is a leader in the use of artificial intelligence, augmented reality and virtual reality in film and television.

From the details shown, it can be tentatively inferred that the movie is about a scientist trying to improve human DNA. Clichédly, as in most sci-fi movies, the experiment ultimately goes wrong, and the scientist's creation is forced into his “lab escape” program with the help of the scientist.

The story is somewhat based on real life, meaning that the Japanese scientist created it to study human-computer interaction. But ERICA's creators, Prof. Hiroshi Ishiguro and Prof. Kohei Ozawa, never planned to star in a movie about their robot, let alone play the lead role. So the pair decided to “teach” ERICA how to act - and they did so by modifying its built-in chip and artificial intelligence program.

The film's visual effects producer told reporters, “In other plays, actors incorporate their own life experiences into their roles, but this customize sexdoll didn't have any; she was created from scratch to play the part.”

The director and filmmaker had to mimic his movements and emotions through personal training, such as controlling the speed of movement, expressing emotions, and taking control of character and body language development. In fact, ERICA was originally scheduled to debut in another Tony Kaye movie. Tony Kaye rose to fame with Edge of Crisis and American X-Files, but later canceled the project.

In a corresponding interview, it can be found that some footage has already been filmed and further filming is planned for 2021.When ERICA debuted in an 18-minute video in 2017, its creators expressed their desire to change the world with what they called a “robotics project”.

They said, "We believe ERIKA is the most beautiful, human-like, artificially intelligent celebrity sex doll in the world. We want to be one of the creators that change lives, and we want to change the world with this touching creation."

They feel that what they are doing now is very much like a work of art because the sex dolls are very realistic. They represent the other side of humanity. They are sexy, they are companionable, and the addition of artificial intelligence gives them more “emotion”, they can also perform and communicate with people. That's my goal.
